Ship Building Guidelines
These are the rules and guidelines for construction agreed to by the groups on swfan.net:
Shipyard rules:
* Only three shipyards are
allowed to orbit a planet.
* Each group may have an aditional customer shipyard,
not for your own use (selling and building for others).
* No limit to the number of shipyards as long as you have planets
for them to orbit.
* There will only be two shipyard sizes to keep it simple: 20,000
meters and 40,000 meters.
* Time to build a 20 KM Shipyard: 20 days.
* Time to build a 40 KM Shipyard: 40 days.
* Increasing the size of a 20KM Shipyard to a 40KM Shipyard will
take 25 days.
* Shipyards can be attacked, and maybe destroyed if you do it
very well
Construction:
* Every ship
construction/research must be shown on a forum for reference and
comply with time regulations.
* The construction post must have the following information: What
kind of ship(s) you are building, technical specifications or
links to such, the date the construction started, when the
construction is expected to finish.
* Ships come with crew, but fighters must be built.
* There is no limit to shipsize, but you cannot build a ship
larger then the shipyard itself. When object is larger than the
shipyard, it has to be built in sections.
* You cannot build more ships at once, than there are room for.
* To Build a DeathStar(160 KM Diameter) or World Destroyer, you
must make a RPG thread at Sw.Fans. You must have 3 shipyards
(40KM) orbiting one planet. It will take 3 months.
* When adding special components, like a special drone system,
cloaking device or any other special feature to your ship, you
must post in the shipbuilding thread about it, during the
building or upgrading.

times for a 40 KM shipyard:
Capital Ships: 1.8 KM

MC-40a: 505 meters
MC-70g Light Cruiser: 680 meters - 2.64 - 2 per day - 5 in 2 days - 10 in 4 days
MC-80m: 886 meters - 2.03 - 2 per day - 4 in 2 days - 8 in 4 days
MC-70 IC/MC-80/MC-80a/MC-80b: 1200 meters - 1.5 - 1 per day - 6 in 4 days - 9 in 6 days - 15 in 10 days
MC-100a/MC-100c: 1260 meters - 1.43 - 1 per day - 5 in 4 days - 8 in 6 days - 11 in 8 days
MC-91: 1500 meters - 1.2 - 1 per day - 4 in 4 days - 6 in 5 days - 9 in 8 days - 12 in 10 days
MC-85: 1800 meters - 1.0 - 1 per day - 2 in 2 days - 4 in 4 days
MC-95: 1900 meters - 0.95 - 1 in 2 days - 3 in 4 days - 7 in 8 days
MC-100b: 6800 meters - 0.26 - 1 in 4 days - 2 in 8 days - 4 in 16 days
Mon Calamari Super Cruiser: 7500 meters - 0.24 - 1 in 5 days - 2 in 9 days
MCC-104gg: 7900 meters - 0.23 - 1 in 5 days - 2 in 9 days
MCC-150sx: 8000 meters - 0.225 - 1 in 5 days - 2 in 9 days
Starfighters
4 squads a day (1 squadron = 12 fighters)
12 squadrons in 3 days
Ship building
times at a 20KM shipyard:
Capital Ships: 1.0 KM
per day
Starfighters
3 squads a day (1 squadron = 12 fighters)
Fleet Battle
Rules:
* You Must allow your enemy time to reply to your post
* You must first weaken a ships shields/hull before being able to
destroy it
* Flag ship can only be damaged and destroyed if done very well
* Fighters may be destroyed in one post if done by a 4 KM ship or
larger
* In dog fights between fighters, you can not destroy fighters in
one post. Damage has to be spread over several posts.
* When ships are destroyed, they are destroyed forever and will
stay out of following roleplaying threads. You can only use such
ship in roleplaying threads set before the time line of the
thread the ship was destroyed.
* When using superlasers, you must first post chargeing the
laser.. then allow time for your enemy to repond. After either
they respond or a day passes, you may fire the superlaser
* Sun Crushers are banned.
