Seventh Dimension
The first Seventh Dimension / Precognition track is available for download.
"Conditions for peace" [ 4:19 ] Techno Download Now (3.95 MB, mp3 128 kbps)This track was made in Sonar 3. Sounds are from the excellent sYnerGi GS soundfont (http://www.samplebanks.com), Synth1 DXi virtual synth (based on NordLead 2) and a few loops lying around that I made years ago. None 'cept 1 of the loops are "Recycled" (pun intended!) i.e. all are made by Prashant. Beginning vocal fx was done using the Zeus pitchshift effect on SB Live soundcard (dont try to guess the words, its only random syllables).
Seventh Dimension is a side project of Prashant Vaibhav, the other being the more generic indipop/rock type with 5-year friend Anando Mukherjee.
Seventh Dimension (or Precognition or 2point303 - name is not final yet) is currently a solo effort, and is basically techno/trance + rock/metal + growls/rap combined. It emerged when Prashant got tired of the same bubbly songs he composes with Anando (much of it is to impress indian A&R guys - you'll know when you listen to some indian music). Some of the 7th-D music is spiritually inspired, but others have more to do with this blue planet. While it may not have a wide appeal, this is the kind of music Prashant really enjoys listening to and composing. The first track is 100% techno though future tracks will seek to combine rock guitars and growling vocals with tech beats. More 7th-D tracks are coming out soon, all free for now of course!
