Taking Back Sunday New Album

Taking Back Sunday have begun working on their upcoming major label debut for Warner:

"Well it's that time again, to start the process of writing and recording a new album. Stay tuned for updates and keep an eye on the band diary, apparently the humidity in NY and hi-larity are closely connected.

For those of you destined to immediately start asking when it's going to come out the answer is "we don't know yet" which probably also means that no one else knows. Those of you asking if we will be playing Phoenix or Vegas or any other city sometime soon, the answer is yes, definitely, we're gonna make a new record first but stay tuned for info."

The upcoming record will be the follow up to Where You Want to Be. Though originally scheduled as a headliner for this year's Hellfest in Trenton, New Jersey, the band has since dropped off the bill.

IRON MAIDEN NEW VIDEO

Iron Maiden are to release their classic track The Trooper as a single to precede their hugely-anticipated headline appearances at the RDS and their new DVD and double live album Death On The Road. The Trooper, taken from the classic Iron Maiden album Piece Of Mind was originally released as a single in July 1983 and reached number 12. It has long been a live favourite and is a particular highlight of the current tour which is based around the band's first four albums. You can buy band tshirts here.

JUSTIN HAWKINS RELEASES SOLO VIDEO
British Whale is the new solo project of Justin Hawkins, and you can hear the results of his hard work here. Performed, recorded and produced entirely by the Darkness frontman, the track is a cover of This Town Ain’t Big Enough For The Both Of Us, the 1974 hit by Sparks, who appear in the very silly video. The clip also features a head-to-head battle with World Darts Champion, Phil 'The Power' Taylor. The single is released on 15 August, with album details to follow…
