Presentation Night (To the best of my recollection)

Well, Some may say I have a drinking problem. I don’t think so, I drank, I got drunk, and then I fell over, NO PROBLEM.

Seriously though, I would have to say that was by far the best presentation night I have been to with the club yet. It was absolutely fantastic.

The food was unbelievable and thanks have to go out to all the people who helped cook the BBQ and to John  for taking charge of preparing the spit. He did a fantastic job and I am sure no-one will argue, that would had to have been the best tasting lamb I have eaten.

Thanks to Mark for organizing the salads and trophies, and again the salads tasted superb.

The DJ was great and really helped get the party pumping and as the night wore on more and more people got on to the dance floor and really made a night of it. I’m wondering whether Darryl and Jenny were using energizer batteries as they really kept going, and going.

Paul Wolfendale and tribe contributed to the dance floor rather well and some even dabbled at karaoke, as did I, poorly at times through the night.

I am not sure why but someone seemed to keep requesting Bob The Builder, the kids were blamed , but I wonder. The mix of music was good and if anyone requires a DJ get in touch with me as I am happy to pass on the details for Omni Entertainment as I certainly recommend him.

It was great to see so many people turn out to support the club and make such a great night of it. The committee is keen to hear peoples thoughts on the night so as we can decide to do it like this or revert back to the standard formula back at the pub. I know which I prefer.

I seemed to wake up with a lot of bruising the next day, I am not sure if I have to apologize to a person I got into a fight with or perhaps just the floor and wall, as I got very intimate with them at times. I am sure many people in the club will fill in the details for me for many years to come.

All members past and present who attended received a medallion made by Robbie Chenda from Verrall Engravers. He did a superb job on them and our thanks go out to him.

To sum up, I had a fantastic night, too good in fact, and look forward to next years. Be sure to thank those who helped prepare it as many hours went into setting it up and perhaps next years can be bigger and better.

As you can see from this report I could not have been to drunk as my memories fine.

 Stuart.
