MAME ROMS on CD and DVD for the MAME emulator

If you are new to MAME you will soon realize that it will take a few months of downloading to get every rom set that is available. Most rom download sites have been closed down or have been forced to remove their rom files. (mame.dk closed down on 2/26/02)

This is a compilation of 2 DVD's with every game rom available for MAME or MAME 32 plus all available sound samples and artwork/backgrounds, icons, snap shots, and the newest cheat file. All you have to do is transfer the games into your "roms" folder in MAME or MAME32 right off of each DVD. You should easily be able to update your set when a new release comes out. Of course you will have them for safe keeping in case of a hard drive failure as well. If you already have the complete set and just need an update DVD with just the roms for the newest beta, you can get it here as well.

The MAME emulator program is NOT included on these DVD's, It can be downloaded at www.mame.net and the Windows 32 bit version (recommended) can be downloaded from www.classicgaming.com/mame32 They are both freeware programs.

About the ROMS on these DVD's

Due to irregularities in the MAME drivers, some of the roms may work on one version of MAME and not on others. For example, in MAME .58 some of the Atari drivers were changed from version .57, this causes MAME to show certain rom files are missing. This means the driver is not working properly even though the rom files are correct. The rom files included on these CD's are the latest versions available but not all game roms work with new versions of MAME due to changes in the source code. If you get a missing files error in MAME just wait until the next version comes out and try the game again. Do not delete the files from your roms folder in search of one that works.

Most sets are shipped out the following day if they are received prior to 10:00 p.m. CST. Any orders received after 12:00 midnight will be shipped the second business day.

USA and Canada orders take anywhere between 3-5 days to arrive but some take up to 10 days. International orders can take up to 2 weeks to arrive depending on where you live.
