LAWRENCE REY TOPHAM

FOR

PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

Agency

 Law, Opposition, Choice and Judgment

Prepared by Lawrence Rey Topham, December 6, 2003 A.D.

Lawrence Rey Topham is secretary of state of the State of Utah and a candidate for President of the United States of America in the 2004 A.D., General National Election.

Why is America Failing?
What will you do about it?

Election Day: November 2, 2004 A.D.

Agency's nature:
  1. All things are governed by law.
  2. There is opposition in all things.
  3. Man's choice is between things in opposition.
  4. Man must account for his choices in the day of the judgment.

1.  All things are governed by law. God created the heavens and the earth and all things that are in the heavens and the earth and gave the laws by which they are bound.

2.  There is opposition in all things.  The laws by which all things are governed consist of opposition between all things, such as light in opposition to darkness, good in opposition to evil, truth in oppossition to error, right in opposition to wrong,  joy in opposition to misery, happiness in opposition to wickedness, obedience in opposition to disobedience, order in oposition to disorder, positive in opposition to negative, health in opposition sickness, life in opposition to death.

3.  Man's choice is between things in opposition. Man must choose between light and darkness, good and evil, truth and error, right and wrong, joy and misery, happiness and wickedness, obedience and disobedience, order and disorder, positive and negative, health and sickness, life and death.

4   Man must account for his choices in the day of judgment.   God gave man his agency to serve Him or to serve His adversary, the devil, who acts in opposition to God in all things.  God is opposed by one of his children who chose to do evil in opposition to good, and he became the devil, and was cast out of heaven, out of the presence of God.  We are also children of God and we, like the devil, must make choices whether to obey God or to disobey Him, and this we must do in this life, before the day of judgment. For at that day all men must stand before our great Creator and be judged according to our choices made in this life, whether they have been good or evil.

There are the laws given of God and there are laws made by men on this earth.  God, our Father in heaven, desires that the laws of man agree with the laws of God because "There is a a law, irrevocably decreed in heaven before the foundations of this world, upon which all blessings are predicated, and when we obtain any blessing from God, it is by obedience to that law upon which it is predicated."  Doctine and Covenants, Section 130, verses 20 and 21.  There is also a just punishment affixed  to that law, upon which the blessing is predicated, for those who will not obey the law.

The devil desires that we disobey the laws of God and follow him, rather than obey the laws that God has given us and follow Him.  Obedience to the laws of God brings joy to us, while disobedience brings misery.  We must choose which we want, joy or misery.   The choices are now before all mankind, and choose we must.  "For thus saith the scripture: Choose ye this day, whom ye will serve." Book of Mormon, Alma, chapter 30 verse 8.

If you fail in this life, it is because you choose to fail.
