What is a "profile"?
A profile represents our members within Relationship, Dating or Intimate Encounters. It includes their nickname, opening line, text ad, any profile information they associate with it (e.g. whether they want children, etc.) and picture (optional). Once a profile is created, it is reviewed by our editors.
Why do members create profiles?
Members must have a profile so that other members can find them in their search results. It’s the only way to be discovered.
What is a guest?
A guest is someone who simply comes to your associate site, looks around, but does not create a profile.
What is a destination?
There are 3 destinations at Lavalife®, each designed for specific audiences.
1. Lavalife® is the destination for men and women who want to meet.
2. Manline® is for men looking for other men.
3. WomanlineTM is for women seeking women.
What is a sponsoring site?
A sponsoring site is the site which is created and maintained by the associate. Links created within this
site will direct guests to the Lavalife® associate site.
What is an associate site?
An associate site is a Lavalife® web site which is set up to track performance of an
individual associate. The associate site has the same membership as the main Lavalife®
site. The associate site can be co-branded with the associate’s logo.
What is a paying member?
A paying member is someone who has created a profile and goes on to purchase credits.
Credits
are used to initiate contact
between members.
