ny of the following: - Amantadine (e.g., Symmetrel) or - Amphetamines or - Caffeine (e.g., NoDoz) or - Chlophedianol (e.g., Ulone) or - Cocaine or - Medicine for ast
hma or other breathing problems or - Medicine for colds, sinus problems, or hay fever or other allergies (including nose drops or sprays)

Before Using This Medicine
Before taking .Ionamin, - tell your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding. If you become pregnant while taking .Ionamin, call your doctor. - you shou
ld know that this drug may make you drowsy. Do not drive a car or operate machinery until you know how this drug affects you. - remember that alcohol can add to the drowsiness caused by this drug
. - if you have diabetes, you may need a larger dose of insulin while taking .Ionamin. Call your doctor if you have questions or problems.

Proper Use of This Medicine
This medication is best taken on an empty stomach; one hour before breakfast each morning. Sustained-release or long acting products such as this, must be swallowed whole. Crushing or chewing them wil
l destroy the long action and may cause increased side effects. Because this medication may cause sleeplessness, avoid taking a dose late in the day. Take this medication as prescribed. Do not take it
more often or longer than directed. Use in combination with other appetite suppressant medicine is generally not recommended.

What side effects can this medication cause?
Although side effects from .Ionamin are not common, they can occur. Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away: - dry mouth - unpleasant taste - diarrhe
a - constipation - vomiting If you experience any of the following symptoms, call your doctor immediately: - increased blood pressure - heart palpitations - restless
ness - dizziness - tremor - insomnia - shortness of breath - chest pain - dizziness - swelling of the legs and ankles - difficulty doing exercise that you have
been able to do

Overdose
Abdominal or stomach cramps; coma; confusion; convulsions (seizures); diarrhea (severe); dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting; fast breathing; feeling of panic; fever; hallucinations (seei
ng, hearing or feeling things that are not there); high or low blood pressure; hostility with urge to attack; irregular heartbeat; nausea or vomiting (severe); overactive reflexes; restlessness;
trembling or shaking; tiredness, weakness, and mental depression following effects of excitement
