Okay so you've just come back from the petshop with your new betta. Or you just got it from the mail. You think its okay to dump your betta into your water and then in a few days your betta is dead. Why, you ask? This is because you need to acclimate your betta to its new conditions. First thing's first. Float your betta's bag in the water you are about to put it in for 30 minutes. This will get it used to the temperature. Then open the bag that your betta is in at the top. Now put some of the water that your betta will be going into in the bag so that there is a mixture of 75% bag water and 25% new water. Wait for 30 minutes then make it a 50/50 mixture (would you like to use your poll the audience instead?). Then wait 30 minutes and then it should be 25/75. Then repeat one more time wait 30 minutes more and then release your betta! There you've done it! YAY!
