Behind The Name:
It was on a cold, sunny, winter morning, while playing with my 1 year old Lab/Shepherd cross, Mocha, that I witnessed an extraordinary moment set amidst a very ordinary routine background. My dog turned at the far end of the yard and came running toward me with complete joy and abandon, ears flapping, her bone in her mouth, her puffing, puppy breath highlighting each exuberant stride, all backlit by the sun. Here was the name I wanted; here was a moment of unfetered spontenaity, without rules or time restraint, pure in its effort and will, at peace with, and embracing...life. Now, this doesn't explain what I wish to convey with my pieces, ...it is far too lofty and perfect, but it does approach what I sometimes feel, when I am working on them, and things are going well. It is what I want my furniture to, at least, aim for:
not limited by established creative rules;
fabrication processes, which aren't limited by time restraints;
the voyage of making, being as important as the finished product.
