	A footstool was needed for playing classical guitar. I wanted to try to make something that felt Elisabethen to me. What I ended up with looks like an optical illusion.
	It has 'poplar' legs and a 'maple' top. The finish is a polyurethane, hand satinized with #000000 steel wool. This is my try at a non-shiny finish which, so far, is holding up well.
	Each leg is angled outward for great stability, and screwed in from the top, which is covered with a deep brown directional felt-like material.
