The brakes have not yet started making any noise (1,700 miles) but don't look forward to them making noise either. We are very displeased with the mileage though. The estimates are 17-23, but we are only getting 11-12 in the city. Very disappointing. Should have bought a Yukon XL for that mileage! <br /><br />Strengths: Ride, Quality and fit/finish, Power, 7 passenger (5 adutls, 2 little children) <br /><br />Weaknesses: Gas Mileage. If you like going to the gas station frequently, get an MDX. I feel that the 2002 model year has some engineer flaws, specifically, the braking system <br /><br />Strengths: Quiet, luxurious ride, with ample horse power to accelerate on the open highway <br /><br />Weaknesses: Brakes-I have had the front rotors cut twice,and the car has only 28000 miles. Also, the rear brakes have also been replaced. So, this makes me think about the "clicking' of the rear brakes. It's price is a little to high. But dealers get away with it. Only faults so far are the brakes (makes noise after first initial 3,000 miles). Told this is normal. The assembly of the SUV is not as strong as it should be for an Acura/Honda. Also, the engine makes a winding noise....Not real loud...but enough to be noticed. But then again, every vehicle will have the little noise that bothers someone. <br /><br />Strengths: Smooth ride, roomy for SUV. Lots of standard equipment. Great SUV. <br /><br />Weaknesses: Brakes started to make clunky noise after initial 3,000 miles. Some cheaper cosmetics (interior). Assembled is not the best. Now that it has a few miles you are trying to tell me that some brake click is normal. Then why was it not making these sound when I test drove this type of vehicle, or when I took delivery of my MDX!!!!!! It started when the vehicle had about 1,700 miles which proves that your design needs to review and resolve this issue. <br /><br />Weaknesses: When I bought my MDX there was no noise coming from the brakes.
